Escape to Blue Ridge Tri The Mountains Triathlon 600 Yard Swim, 18 Mile Bike, 5K Run

"Escape to Blue Ridge provides North Georgia Cabin Rentals vacation experiences that bring you and your friends back for more." This will be an incredibly scenic race in the North GA Mountains! The swim will be in the crystal clear waters of Lake Blue Ridge. The bike is an 18 mile out and back crossing over the lake with mountains towering in the background. The run will leave the Marina and head towards town on Old Hwy. 76 and you will be cheered on as you enter the Historic town of Blue Ridge circling the park and finishing in front of the old courthouse which is now the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Center. Awards and the after party will take place in the park in the center of town and should be one to remember. . If you have never visited Blue Ridge GA, put this on your race schedule! Come see why Blue Ridge is becoming a triathlon mecca!

There’s a place from which nothing escapes, not even light, where time and space literally come to an end. It’s at this point, inside this fantastic riddle, that black holes exert their sway over the cosmos… and our imaginations. This exciting fulldome production, narrated by Academy-Award nominated actor Liam Neeson, brings the current science of black holes to the dome screen. Zip through other-worldly wormholes, witness the collision of giant galaxies, and experience a simulated flight to a supermassive black hole lurking at the center of our own Milky Way Galaxy. Cutting-edge science and Einstein’s theories fill in holes along the way, providing the most complete picture yet on this mysterious phenomenon. Can you feel the pull?

Bob Thompson is one of Western North Carolina's pioneer country dance callers and dance organizers with a wide ranging repertoire of contras, squares and circles.

The Dog Branch Cats were formed in 1991 with Bob Dalsemer and Jan Davidson, fiddles, Martha Owen, banjo and David Liden, guitar.

Beginners, singles and couples welcome.

Beginners should come promptly at 8 pm, since we start with easier dances and more teaching.
